As
a little introduction, this section of our website is
intended to give you a little sideways glance at life
in the choir - letting you see that were not (just)
a bunch of stuffy old codgers, but that we can have a
bit of a laugh, while still trying to keep the standards
high
So
lets see - so far this session weve welcomed
a bunch of new recruits into each section (apart from
the tenors because they are already a strong and resilient
bunch!) They are of course, all very welcome and its been
a busy few months already with services recorded for broadcast,
live in Newtownabbey and the first of our
2005/06 bridal sessions - thats one
voice of an angel gone - just two more sopranos, an alto,
tenor and a musical director to go
!
Halloweens
gone and the only scary faces left are the ones on altos
(we have difficulties getting them to smile at times...)
Christmas is beckoning and December is booked up in my
diary! As with most festive seasons, the choir is guaranteed
some big sings and I know Im looking forward to
it - see the Whats on section for more
info - Christmas at Down Cathedral is always our big highlight
- make sure youre there! Im reliably informed
that there will be some nice surprises to come musically
and I hear that at least one former member could be coming
out of exile and dusting off the vocal chords
Thats
all for now - more, as and when theres more to tell
- thats never usually long here in Grosvenor!
